This picture is a composite made by flipping an alignment I's reverse die 180 degrees.

The reverse is shown by flipping head over date (normal coin turn). Notice that the eagle is flying upside down at an angle!

Alignment II is believed to be the original alignment for the 1837 strikings of J60/P65. Because of die rotation over time, this alignment became what is now known as alignment IV. There are at least 5 variations of alignment II/IV. For more on this, click here.
