This pattern is believed to have been struck outside the mint from dies sold as scrap that were purchased by Joseph J. Mickley. The illustrated example, ex Bowers and Merena 6/96, Heritage 11/03, ANR/Stacks 11/06 shows a 40 degree rotation on the reverse between strikes. This is currently in an NGC63BN holder.
