
Amazonianm Pedigrees

The Amazonian name for these patterns dates back to the New York Coin and Stamp’s 1890 Parmelee sale and was likely given this name by David Proskey. The first occurrence of these coins at auction is believed to be Cogan's May 1877 sale lots 738-740 where a silver set sold for $31.00.
