Charles Barber's Flowing hair design in aluminum. 5 examples are known including the illustrated piece from Sotheby's Browning collection. Prior to this, it was offered in Paramount's June 1975 Rare Coin List #10.
The five known were all originally part of complete aluminum sets as noted below.
1) Maris (1886), Garrett-JHU, Stacks 3/76, Harry W. Bass Jr. Research Foundation, B/M 5/99, Heritage 8/99, Heritage 9/17 - PCGS67
2) Woodin 1914 ANS exhibit-Newcomer
3,4) ex Virgil Brand from Adams on 3/13/11 and Boyd on 1/28/21
5) Jackson (U.S Coin 5/13), Elder 2/21

Examples were also struck as follows:
Gold J1635/P1832-P1833 with several hundred known.
Copper J1636/P1834 with about a dozen known.
White Metal J1637A/P1836 which is unique ex N.M. Kaufman.
A second obverse die is known by a single example in copper J1636A/P1837 whose pedigree dates back to the 1906 H.P. Smith sale lot 1447. It has since been gilted.
