Charles Barber's Flowing hair design in copper. Over a dozen are believed to be known including the illustrated example from Sotheby's Browning collection. Prior to this, it was offered in Paramount's June 1975 Rare Coin List #10. Many of the copper examples have been gilted.

They were also struck in the following metals.
Gold J1657/P1857 with about 20 known. These were struck from shaved half eagle planchet stock resulting in the coins having striated surfaces.
Aluminum J1659/P1859 with at least 4 known.
