An example of the California Diamond Jubilee commemorative half dollar without the S mintmark, struck in silver has been reported. We have not been able to confirm its existence. The illustrated piece is a regular California Diamond Jubilee with the mintmark removed. It is shown to approximate what such an example would look like.
