The popular 1859 transitional half dime. This has the starred obverse of 1859 by Paquet muled with the reverse of 1860-1891 resulting in a 'nationless' coin. It is believed that about a dozen are known.

The transitional dime was also made in 1859 as J233/P280 and the transitional half dime was repeated in 1860 in business strike format as J267/P315.
