This is an obverse die trial of the 1926 Sesquicentennial of American Independence design.

Unique examples are known in both copper JA1926-3/P3608 and brass JA1926-4/P3611 both of which appeared in the 1958 ANA sale as lots 2044 and 2045.

It is likely that the pieces listed in Pollock as P3542 and P3545 are misdescriptions of the above listed pieces as the Judd book illustrates these as the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition pieces in error and omits these 1926 products entirely.
